4th QTR 2016

I don't understand how ZJX can pick up 3 (2 TLH, 1 ORL), but release 1 to ZDV.
This is the part that doesn't make sense to me.
Same happened with DFW. CAT1, 1 released, 2 hired.

My guess is the ZJX person going to ZDV may have been either TMU or in a staff specialist position so it wouldn't count towards ZJX's CPC staffing.
TMU and such are done through bids.

Also, seems like the program is already on the downward slope of getting people moved. Over 100 selected last time to 77 now...wonder what the number will end up for the December panel.
Last one was artificially high because they changed the formulas.

Meanwhile, A80 1 selection, D10 0, etc etc.. keep up the great work andrew.

There was a very narrow window (this panel) when we could let one person go before the retirements started. A newly certified transfer got the one spot. In and out, while the rest of us will wait for several more years.
Looking at his history, came from Great Falls as CPC, and spent maybe a couple years in training at Boise (is that normal or on the long side?) Just how recent did he certify there?
Did anyone else apply for SLC?

PS: thanks for the ATM :)

Within the year (training here is ridiculously long, but yes, it was longer than average), and yes: me.

That's baloney then.
@MJ0730 , any way you can get the manager's rankings and see why the other guy was chosen over N172PT?

For everyone else, I can't recommend enough, if your facility has the staffing to let someone go, make some phone calls to the ATMs of the places you apply for. Tell the ATM you're applying from a well staffed facility and want to move there. Otherwise it's kinda guess work on who they'll pick.

It got changed, and I can't get to it anymore.

Calling an ATM won't hurt, but it won't help either in 99.9% of situations. This is a nice segue to the ERR MOU change thread... write your congressmen. It takes like 30 seconds to cut and paste the letter.

I was just thinking it could be something to look up when you do more FOIA requests.

Could do an info request, but Itd likely come back with a generic "selections were made in accordance with the cba" type answer. If it were me I would probably do that anyway, but also call the RVP and find out exactly what happened. Especially if you think there was an error. If there's anything that doesn't add up you can grieve it. I'd grieve it anyway on principle

The Manager can select whoever they want on the selection list, for whatever reason, and the NCEPT panel will follow it. The Q&A session they did at the convention made it pretty clear that they follow the priority list from the managers if one is provided. In my case, it was just a matter of the good ol' boy system at work. The manager selected who she wanted. They did give me the consolation prize of "we'll try to consider you next time," but next time could be a long, long time from now. The guy who is leaving is a good guy, I'm not going to slash his tires or anything, I just think the system is broken.

That goes against what I've seen written and heard from RVPs. I tried looking for that video, couldn't find it.

The meeting minutes for the NCEPT panel finally came out. They're useless, the shortest notes yet. Pretty much just says they met, selected people, and are going home. It does give dates for TOLs and stuff and states that employees will be updated monthly if their facility category changes and they can be released earlier, but it doesn't say squat about their discussion of the process and what they plan to do.

So much for the transparency they promised.

anyone have any insight on the denial of career progression this MOU is causing? I'm at a red facility, and have found a few documents pointing to the fact that its a violation of our rights and laws...

also heard theres a lawsuit out right now for this very thing...heard, don't know, just looking for info! thanks!

I've been campaigning against it since the beginning. Go read the ERR MOU Change Campaign thread for the history. It's no doubt a violation, but NATCA is the perpetrator and biggest obstacle, because so many of the rights federal employees are granted (especially when it comes to employment) are waived when there is union representation.

Someone else a couple months ago brought up that he heard of a lawsuit, but like you didn't know any details. I consulted with a lawyer and posted about it, but other than that I've never seen or heard of anything else. If there were an actual suit, I'd love to hear about it. I think I could contribute.

I applied for quite a few supervisor openings this year and was selected for some and the ATMs made a deviation request to bypass the MOU to get me a release date. They were almost all denied. There was one approved, but I had already accepted a job offer for another position outside the ATO that didn't need a deviation for a release. Better opportunity for jobs down the road, plus it includes return rights back into the ATO after a few years.

What job outside the ATO gives you return rights? I am thinking of quitting as well, but am terrified I'll never get back in...
