So when people retire and are replaced like they do now?
The wave hasn’t started yet, give it 3-5 more years. Most places aren’t well staffed from what I hear now, throw in elevated retirement numbers plus throw in the CRWG and those new percentages don’t look good. Look up MCO and the three other facilities who’s numbers are already implemented on the PPT if you can get to the excel document it takes a little more digging than it used to.

I’m pretty sure we all know how fucked staffing is and going to get worse before it gets better. What does any of that have to do with ATM’s interviewing people in regards to ncept/manager ranking list? The changes they made to the ksn make it seem like they’re actively trying to hide some of the information.

I’m saying by not giving any priority to people stuck for years just exacerbates the problem of people leaving immediately. From what I can see on the Sharepoint it looks like they are going to prioritize level 4’s and facilities with checkout times less than 1year with new hires and staffing them over 100% so that’s who will be feeding the NAS once these numbers go into effect enjoy all those level 4 trainees with 6 months experience.

They’re making positive steps (new AG selection format), but not putting some kind of cap in place for terminal transfers is only going to continue to screw the mid levels and exhaust the high levels.

Yep I am expecting this to be an issue. It will be infuriating.

While I agree with some rules being put in place, number 3 is laughable. Most, if not all, of the big facility rankings are handled by natca. The ATM doesn't really care at the end of the day. Imagine the CLT, DEN, PCT, etc ATM's having to interview everyone on their lists? Would take a week+ to accomplish.
Just for the DEN pick to turn it down? lol can you imagine

Rules for the panel:

Round 1

  • Gaining facilities must be below the Projected National Average (PNA).

A80/MIA/ZOA Priority Release MOU Selections

  • A80/MIA/ZOA Priority Release MOU Selections will be made at the conclusion of the traditional NCEPT Panel.
  • Selection order will be based on the facility with the fewest number of inbound ERRs as a percentage of vacancies (selections to projected National Average).

What’s the point of seniority when someone with 6 months in the agency gets to go to the place you have been trying to get to for a decade, only becuase the FAA made a dedicated effort to staff their facility and not yours. Sounds like a lawsuit tbh
Two people trying to get from the same facility to the same facility, ATM ranks the one who has been in the agency less than a year #6 and the one who has been in 2 years as #21 because seniority and experience don't matter for anything anymore. But #6's daddy is in the agency and knows people. I thought this was what NCEPT was supposed to stop.

Maybe #21 is a shit person or a shit controller.
