I’d take it over being stuck! We’re losing 4 people the next year now and my seniority is only improving by 1 spot.

I wouldn't consider that an improvement. People need to realize that how many people you have behind you is far more important than how close you are to the top, unless you are the top.

i'd still take the move. Never know when you'll be able to get out. unless ZLC/ZMA is not high on your list. housing market is still very hot for now w low inventory etc.
