From what I've learned, the positions are for limited amounts of time. It may vary but the ones I looked at (overseas) were 5 years, then you had to go back to where they sent you in the States or resign. After 2 years in the States one was eligible to apply for an overseas bid again, but no guarantee of selection. I have heard of extensions of a couple years past 5 but there are no guarantees. It would suck to move across the world, really like where you were, then be told to go back. This would be a better deal if you were 5 years away from when you want to retire or have enough money in TSP to retire. I guess the other catch is you aren't able to be in the union or get up to 24 hours of XTE. 🙄What’s the catch?

I also think there is no 1.7% of High-3 up to 20 yrs and 1% thereafter at age 56. It may just be 1% per year at age 62 or whatever it is.

They post on USA jobs. If you search 2152 jobs they'll come up if you have have rest of the filters set properly.Is there a list of DoD facilities that hire civilians? Don’t think I’ve seen one here or anywhere else.

I wish something like this would make it to a “vote” at convention but it won’t. Does anything make it to a legitimate “vote” at convention? All the amendments have pre-determined outcomes arranged at the pre-convention meetings.
