From Santa's full statement to the committee:

NATCA’s testimony will focus on: (1) the current controller staffing crisis and training challenges and how they could affect safety and efficiency; (2) the negative effects of equipment and infrastructure backlogs and how those affect critical modernization and infrastructure programs, including significantly delaying the development and implementation of new safety technology that will improve surface surveillance at airports and help mitigate the risks of runway incursions; and (3) the negative effects that a potential shutdown would have on the NAS, as well as on the nearly 20,000 air traffic controllers and other aviation safety professionals represented by NATCA.

Let staffing tank until they fix pay, the OT is the only way we are breaking even with 2020 buying power.
100% agree.

He didn't mention pay in his first 5 minutes I'm certain it will be slipped into some questioning! All part of the long plan boys!!!

Personally felt like the talks about money for Equipment and infrastructure was a good place to slip it in but daddy Santa has some tricks up his sleeves!

Idk why Natca would advocate for our equipment. That seems like the FAAs job

They shouldn’t even advocate for staffing. They should be advocating for our pay and benefits
Could not agree more. NATCA National is reaching by trying to say that Staffing is part of our working conditions. Seems like this "collaborating" is causing our National representation or use our dues and PAC money on advocating for the FAA rather then its members PAY!

Santa just said “air traffic controllers are historically some of the highest paid federal workers”, and he thanked them for their generosity and producing one of the “happiest and most passionate” federal workforces.
That must be a statement to make amends with MTG and her PAYCUTZ SUUN MVMNT.

What has actually been said about our pay needing to increase from Santa during this?
Nothing, he said nothing about our pay. Senator Markey brought up baggage handler pay and airport helpers pay. Nothing about ATC pay.

The only solid thing SANTA did during the hearing was refute the FAA admin stance that staffing was up since last year, he hit a home run on that one by saying yeah it's up "7 controllers." Less collaboration and a more adversarial relationship like his one reply is needed to enact any meaningful change.

Tim Arel being there was pretty much pointless, provided no value from the FAA, a real example of why we are in this situation. His basic response to everything was its fine, it's getting better.
