Hahahaha FLO to D10. I feel bad for the OJTIs at some of these facilities.

FAA put a god damned level cap on this already.
Already up to the managers rankings. Who is to say that the guy with 10 years military experience, 5 towers, a few rapcons that got stuck at a level 6 VFR tower is less likely to check out than the off the street kid who was working at McDonald's and got lucky enough to get a level 8?

Edit: Not to mention the fact that all that does is increase moves which hurts everyone. Instead of one move to a career facility, you want people to move 2 or 3 times. Spend 6+ years in training.

MIlitary air traffic is mostly a joke. Don't @ me.

Yeah and you definitely get your ass kicked at every FAA facility.

Doesn't change the fact that this made up person was in the books and got checked out at multiple places with a breadth of understanding of different types of traffic. That makes a worse controller than the guy who's only ever worked 20 planes an hour at some borderline level 7.

You think the BUR list will be on there since they were eligible to gain even though they didn't end up gaining?
Only time will tell. I'd say most likely no since they couldn't gain in round 2 and released in round 1. If you're just looking to get to the area though, SCT and LAX are obviously very needy and will continue to be. I'm sure MYF will need some next time based on the rumor I saw in another thread about their target going from 13 to 19. But I think it's going to be real tough to get to BUR for you since they're projected will always be pretty good with AGs keeping them stocked up to where they can't gain in round 1.

BUR is really the only place in the area I'm interested in because I can live with family for free, so doing that and keeping my commute under an hour is pretty much only accomplishable at BUR. I don't dislike where I am at all, I just wouldn't mind heading back to CA

Just to clarify, there were no center people eligible to be picked up for ZJX. I'm not sure why people are on here spreading misinformation.
This is actually a good example of dynamic decisions...

Per the rules for Round 1 and the NCEPT PPT, ZJX was not eligible to gain since they were projected above the national average (ZJX was 88.85% and national average was 88.41%). Yet, they still picked up 10 individuals (the maximum).

To additionally clarify... there were other centers that were eligible to release (ZAN, ZAU, ZKC, ZUA) who could've gotten selected for ZJX but were not.

Could’ve requested ZJX but did not

Then we can easily determine that nobody from those 4 facilities applied to transfer to ZJX.

This isn't true at all. That's not how the rankings work.

First of all, you would need to know the rankings of every person that came across the ZJX ATM's desk to even start.

ZAN released to I90 which was higher on the Priority List than ZJX (26 vs. 48 ). They very well could have people that wanted to go that couldn't because ZAN hit their barrier to release.

I could go on and on with examples, but that quoted sentence is wholly false.

ZJX was moved to #1 priority at the panel
