Just don’t take the stance of getting mad at fellow controllers for playing within the game given to them. Get mad at why the game is so poorly designed. Too bad our union doesn’t care about actually making anything better for the workforce. They only care about work groups which come up with the most complicated and unworkable solutions
I don't undertand this take. If I'm trying to transfer normally and someone at my facility fakes a hardship, I now have a harder time transferring. It might take what would have been a transfer and push it years down the road or even never. Guess what? Not transferring might create a situation in my life that certainly falls under hardship status when my wife walks the fuck out and takes the kids back to family because she's the rational third party observer to this clusterfuck of a process and realizes thats the only way she's ever getting home.
You should get mad at how shitty ncept is. Ncept shouldn’t exist. You should simply be able to apply to vacancies like any other agency
But this is EXACTLY why people "fake" a hardship. You do what you got to do for your family. Most of the time, people are just salty they didn't think of it first. And if you have the documentation to back up a hardship, is it really fake? Or is it "exaggerated?"
Taking a supe job is Willingly taking a promotion but into a shittier job. Way different than faking some bullshit into the same job, obviously legit hardships are not the same.
People don’t want to become sups. They just want to move. The problem with sup bid are just bids that people can apply for. But ncept is some insane panel that only a workgroup could come up with

Let me tell you something buddy. The ones that scam the system always get a leg up on the ones trying to do things right. You will continue to try and do things right until you realize it isn’t going to work. I have tried to do the right thing for years and have been told by this union not to go management. Only to watch the ones that said fuck the union get to where they want any means necessary. ANY FUCKING MEANS NECESSARY. What you need to do is call your damn rvp and give him an ear load on how this ncept system is bullshit. They created ncept. They are the ones blocking your movement. Bark at the right tree.
Well, Natca says you’re not entitled to a transfer. If that hypothetical happened, the hardship needed it more. I know a hardship where a person had a mom with MS, dad with early onset dementia, and a low functioning autistic brother back home. They hardshipped back to care for all 3. Can you say that your desire to be considered for a move outweighs this persons demonstrated need? Not everyone is gaming the system. Your anger should be at the union and the faa for this collusion, not at other controllers.
That's not the person they're mad at. Why is it so hard to understand? Hes mad at the person who just suddenly developed allergies and they need to go to Denver tower. No they can't accept centennial or Rocky Mountain metro only Denver tower will do. Or the person whose spouse has suddenly developed anxiety so bad because they are separated from their family and can't live in another state.
