I know its a far fetched and crazy idea but the point I was making is that these facilities that are 100% NATCA love having that title and would hate to lose it because of one person who's disgruntled and hangs around for years preventing them from being 100%. Your FacRep can't force a facility to pick you but FacReps do communicate with each other and one can push to have you higher in the ranking list to keep his facility at 100%. Anyways, I know its stupid and I don't plan on doing it. Just venting here like most people.

Try it bro it'll definitely work lmao

Just accepted a verbal offer from this panel. Anyone have any insight or educated guesses on when the clock will start for releases? HR person I talked to didn’t know.

If you are cat 1 it should be the first pay period after three months. If you are cat 2 it will be within one year.

The problem with your thinking is assuming some other facrep at your chosen facility is going to want some other facreps problem child, and as has been rumored, your NATCA status may or may not be taken into account already. With reps having a say in this, it's a risky move.

I say this as someone who had a contentious relationship with his facrep/management at my time of departure from my previous facility, it definitely followed me and was something I had to overcome to a small extent to restore my good name when I got here. Shit like that will be discussed and it will follow you, and now it's just one more thing to get in order on top of training, learning who is who at your facility etc....

Frankly NATCA has been dropping the ball on some big deal issues here of late and getting out of NATCA is justified in my eyes if one wanted to do so, but doing it just to game the system seems like a bad move.

What region are you headed to?

Great Lakes.

releases are by 4/12 and 1/3/2021. Also, the new PPT was published on the 26th, it shows that 252 facilities are projected to be above 90%, and 296 above 85%, that screams to me like this is working the way they intended, increase staffing period. and in a years time, movement should become a lot easier.

Good info, thanks!

I'm assuming your name was on the selections list and they just called you after the panel to see where you stand otherwise that would be pretty shady to just get a verbal offer. Anyways, are you guys who got picked up on here to rub it in?

It makes more sense for someone who was selected to be in this thread than anyone else now that it has passed. There is a new one already for future hopefuls. Two of my last three offers they called to confirm I was still interested before they did paperwork.
