July 2020

They all say that lol. But they can’t really prove it. “I just brought the car down this last week” etc.

I was bitten by this. I didn’t understand what they were asking and told them when I got my license. (Earlier in the convo I said I just moved the car down) but it wasn’t worth the fight for me.
Probably didn’t help that I had gotten a ticket within six minutes of being in Texas

Washoe is chill af and cheaper than King County up in Washington.
Clark county in general is probably overwhelmed compared to Washoe. DMV wait times would show 5 minutes online and you show up with a line 100 deep out the door. The 5 minutes wait was what you spent inside sitting in the waiting room.
Always had fun in Reno and would love to live there someday

Wouldn't the world be a much better place without the money hungry road pirates legally extorting you to pay their own salaries under the guise of keeping you safe?
Yeah if police just policed that would be nice, but I was speeding regardless if I didn’t know the speed limit

Has Anyone been in situation like me, (hope it makes sense) My lease ends in February. Looking to buy a car, but my release date in a new state is August. Anyone just keep their plates/registration until it expires or is that frowned upon? Crazy thought, go to the new state buy the car in February with a PO Box lol? Probably just bite the bullet and pay double for registration
Honestly I would just wait til it expires. If you get stopped by the cops explain you‘re a federal employee with a temporary duty at wherever you are. Technically until you CPC you’re only there temporarily anyhow.

Interesting how you don't really have to worry about being extorted if you generally follow the laws and don't excessively speed.

The world would be a much better place if asshole didn't drive like they were on a race track. Multiple people die every week where I live because people can't simply drive in a safe manner. I can't imagine how bad drivers would be around here if there was no speed enforcement at all.

Don't drive like an asshole and you generally won't be "extorted". Pretty simple concept.

I speed but only in a straight line. If the flow of traffic doesn’t allow for faster speeds then I just go with the flow. Don’t get those people that are in such a hurry they have to weave in and out of traffic, so dangerous.

I’m the same way. Im not gonna pretend like I never speed. Like you said it’s only in a straight line without any of craziness of weaving in and out of traffic going 30 or 40 faster than everyone else.

If you aren’t weaving you aren’t living!
