3rd Quarter 2017

How fast after a hardship is approved is the staffing workbook affected? Does the recieving facility need to come to an agreement with our local facility first to make sure there is an opening? I have ERRs into 5 of the top 25 places and have a feeling I am going to get jumped over by someone hardshipping to a place that they couldn't ERR to. It was filed like 2 weeks ago instead of waiting till after the panel so we could both get picked up, but then again I don't blame the person tooo much due to our morale. Sucks though...smh

Really..? I thought it was a 1% buffer.. where can I find that info. since, I may have been misinformed or I misinterpreted something I read. Thanks a bunch, if this is the case, there's hope!
The change occurred after the last NCEPT panel. Just view the latest quarterly minutes.

Yes i understand, what I'm trying to say is I wanna know what facility's are high on the priority list because I need to beat out co workers this panel and make sure im selected. We will be able to release 1 and then who knows when we will be eligible again.
I don't believe you fully understand. The facility ranking list will update again AFTER the ERR deadline and before the panel. It's one of the most frustrating aspects of this process. Ex. JCF which was ranked 168th prior to the ERR submission deadline in Feb jumped all the way to 1st in March just before the last panel. If you're looking to leave somewhere and don't exactly care where you go, you'll need to just pepper the top 30 with ERRs because the final update that you have zero control over will largely determine who is selected at your facility.

It's largely determined on who is entering the information. For instance, we had a person retire last week and they're still included in our staffing number on the latest PPT. There will be one more PPT run typically around the 4th week of the month, which the panel will be based on. Might want to hold your breath for that update.

It's my understanding that they stay on the books until they leave, so it's all about timing as far as when they run the PPT

Aghhh, it will be so close... ha! The person is still waiting for an FAA final determination so I am hoping the process drags out enough!

Just find out who the NATCA hardship rep is in your region and slide him a $20.

He is already in good with the guy that put it in, trust me it crossed my mind, ha ha. Plus the guys is a nice guy and everything just sucks the hardship had to be filed when it did to throw things for a loop. Guess when you are trying to go somewhere really popular hardship is your best bet. Oh well see what happens I suppose. Hoping we both get our way.

Is this confirmed
Im sorry let me clarify. I understand that the priority list they use for the panel is run after the deadline and therefore useless in forecasting. But what I'm asking is is there confirmation that they've stopped updating the priority as often between panels. Much of the KSN site info is displayed in new formats and the priority list appears to not have been updated in a while and doesn't display a date like the old word format. PS I hate almost all the new formats, they suck. And they seem to be removing more and more things which is infuriating.

Agreed. New format is terrible. The priority list was updated after the 3/29 PPT. It has not been updated since. I'd imagine it will get updated at some point this week and again the first week of June, but that is simply an educated guess based on past performance.

You forgot JCF
I can't stop thinking that was just someone adding JCF to the list for funsies and they ran with it.

Kinda going off the previous two panels and how many people the facilities were able to select vs how many actually were selected. ATL may have dropped because I think they picked up a group of people last round.
But no, it's all a guessing game.

I just want to make sure I understand the selection process correctly.

Say I have err into the number 5 ranked facility and the number 10 ranked facility, but the 10 ranked facility manager ranks me number 1 and the higher 5th ranked prority facility manager ranks me like 10 or something would u still go to the high ranked place if they were taking 10 people or would I go to the lower ranked place that ranked me 1st?

Hope that makes sense lol.

In that scenario you're going to number 5

That's what I thought, so say the high ranked facility is only taking 7 or 8 err and Im ranked at number 10 would I go to the lower ranked facility that ranked me 1st?
Depends on a number of factors.
1st - Are you still eligible? (If your facility can release 1 and someone at your facility got selected at a higher ranked facility, you're frozen)
2nd - If they can take 7-8 and ranked you 10, are all 9 people ranked ahead of you still eligible? You could hypothetically be 'ranked' 10th, but all 9 people in front of you aren't eligible by the time if gets to that facility.

Thanks for the information and insight as always, as I was curious about the technical parts of this formula as well.
