If you didn't get picked up then you should be happy no one else in your facility did either. At least your facility can still release and you can have some hope next time around. Its every man for himself now when it comes to NCEPT. Don't worry about anyone else.

Unless the “temporary changes” change yet again..

The FAA when all of us start talking about supe bids

? It's really going to hurt when some of you realize being picked up as a Sup isn't guaranteed. It requires a deviation if your facility is below 85%. Yes, even if a facility selects you for a promotion as a Sup, and even if your manager is willing to release you, a deviation panel can still decide to turn it down. Seems to be no "sure fire" way out of a low staffed facility except NY and Chicago TRACONs or resigning.

The issue is not all of us are at low staffed places. We're fully staffed at 15, have 16, 1 Dev, 1 inbound and no one has left in 4 panels.

That would be a great position to be in. For many of the bids on USAJOBs (lower level Sups, TMU, Support Specialist) they're struggling to find people who DON'T need a deviation and are going for anybody with an "easy release" to fill the holes. Example, Level 12 TMU bids picking up CPCs from Level 5 towers

I legit think that there is a chance NATCA is making these results so bad on purpose for a few rounds to get people to apply to supervisor positions. The Agency is ridiculous understaffed for FLM positions too right? I know it sounds nuts but it’s all about collaboration now they say. Maybe NATCA is biting the bullet to help the Agency fill those slots for easier “collaboration” down the road.

I mean...

TMU

Since they are ok with making temporary changes, maybe the next few rounds they should only select people who have been CPC for at least a year and see how it goes. At least that might give the many people who have been waiting years a chance to get picked up and ease some of the anger, even if its only a few rounds. I think its worth a try.

I mean sure, until the trainees wash out and your back to goose egg on releases...

If trainees washout out your'e still better off no one getting released when the facility was able then others getting released besides you because then your'e just going to have to wait even longer for new trainees to come in and certify.[/QUOTE]

This is untrue

Fuck this shit. Apparently they made dynamic decisions where only a set amount of people would get to move. They got to that number and stopped. Go back to the old system. At least then you know who was fucking you. The current process has zero transparency or accountability.

These "restrictions on movement" and "systems" are 2 separate issues. If this were the old system the agency just wouldn't let anyone fill controller bids
