How does the retirement column in the staffing lists work? Say it says 3.3, does that mean there are 3 people with mandatory retirement that calendar year or just eligible to retire?
 
Neither. It's an arbitrarily calculated number based on the total number of controllers at the facility and does not depict the actual expected number of people leaving the facility

How can you get all the paperwork filled out without management becoming aware that you're trying to move?
You don’t lol. Find a cool sup, or I’ve even had my facility secretary sign it. They don’t know shit and might not gossip.
 
Is this coronavirus situation affecting anyone's release dates? How are you supposed to plan a move with this going on?

curious too. i'd expect them to be moved back as people with release dates mean more to their current facility than be on admin leave at their new one
 
We got a guy in our area who took a supe job. His date is coming up and is unchanged. He’s simply going to be converted to non-essential status.
 
I have a release date of 4/12. I was initially told it would be my choice to keep it or push it back. I’m not moving, so getting a raise and becoming non-essential I kind of hard to pass up. Now there’s talk about working out a temp detail at my current facility so they can honor the release but still use me. Still waiting to find out. I haven’t heard any talk of people being forced to push back their date though.

Am I correct that you can email ERR packets to HR? If so, where is that in writing and what are the email addresses? It'd be nice to have that included in MJ's wonderful sample ERR packet.

The NATCA NCEPT site for the past panel (July 2020) says "In addition, all new ERR requests must be faxed in as normal as well as emailed to the corresponding HR specialist to ensure it gets processed" — but I can't find a document saying that you can email them in in the first place. The January 29 2020 MOU is about them emailing the submission confirmation back, not about us emailing it in.

The emailing in alongside faxing isn't up to date, as usual HR is torn on how they receive packages depending on region. I've learned you can email them to the POC referencing an inability to fax, make sure it's encrypted or the HR person gets spicy.

I saw people talking about emailing them but could never find Anything written that would allow this. I did receive an email confirming my err was received on my last one which was new. They called the couple times before that.

I find it easiest to search for them either in MyFAA or in your FAA Webmail. From my experience ASO & ASW will need some convincing and are tough to deal with. ANM is the best I've had interactions with.

Search for who? Anyone with "Western Region HR" in their title, or is there someone with the specific title "ERR POC" or what? Myprofile seems to be down at the moment.

Search for the HR POC's name. All the POCs and alternates are listed on the NCEPT KSN site on that color chart.

I faxed my paperwork in and called to follow up that HR received it. She said no. I tried again and she didn’t receive it again though it said it sent on my end. She ended up giving me her email address and I emailed a scanned copy to her from my gmail account. I requested a confirmation of approval from her and she emailed me with the confirmation.
