Leaving NATCA outside January

?That’s because they have gotten to big and are running the Union like a corporation. So many scams and wasted money. How many positions ran unopposed this last election cycle? Nothing is going to change with the status quo, it will just be an extension of the Paul and Trish years stuff their pockets with cash and keep hitting repeat. Mafia type behavior by NATCA elitist, that keep us brainwashed with the same punchlines over and over and over.
Brainwashed isn’t the correct way to word it. We aren’t brainwashed by punchlines or mantras; we all see the writing on the walls when it comes to how the game is being played. The 2018 election is evident enough.
 
leaving Natca will do nothing. They will still represent a large majority of the work force. And unless you create your own union with equally or more members, the FAA will try to divide and conquer. I have zero problems with having complaints, but none of you stand up and run and try to take over. That’s your best shot to change things.

Honestly someone running for a local FACREP won't be able to implement changes on the national level anyways. Some RVPs offer very little mentoring or advice to those when asked, instead they resort to belittling new reps for not being apart of the good boys club. Don't get me wrong not all of them are like this.

IMO nothing will really change until some of the RVPs and senior leadership retire within the next few years.

What I'm saying is the older RVPs are the ones that still have the Union mafia type mentality. The younger ones seem too have a more level head. I'm not ignorant to think we will have an entire NEB that's great, but the more that retire the better it should be.
The young heads just turn to old heads and nothing changes. Literally the same system our governments been on for the last 100yrs ?

You're right. I guess by the time retirement come around for us the younger generation will be complaining about our view points and lack of concern for what they want done. It's a never ending cycle.

To think the current leadership is just an extension of Paul and Trish really is a defining realization that we shouldn’t expect much change for the next few years yet again. Everyone on board for the status quo???

Previous experience and reinstatements BS, even the agency knows NCEPT is jacked and letting people bypass the ones who stayed in and didn’t roll the dice for a year and rewarding them with direct placement. Wow when will the sheep flee to create change because the ole saying from the bottom up isn’t working. Once I see change I will once again be able to support the Union that is NATCA.

Feel free to list new policies, MOUs or contract changes that have come from national that have benefited the membership in the last few years.
Leave any Covid related things out for the garbage.
I can think of the one major thing being paid parental leave and that was government wide so not specific to only us so not sure to even count that.

We had our Rep collaborating with the FLM to try and get people on Sick leave letters. Then when he got caught denied and eventually apologized but didn’t come completely clean to everyone or resign. Next= Let’s have a party or make that two and maybe everyone will forget about what went down.
