August (Q4) 2022

I will 100% take the off the street person over the low level transfers and prior military our facility has received. They don't come with shitty habits nor shitty attitudes.
It’s a little known fact but 98% of N90 controllers are prior military. That’s why we are the richest in the NAS. 300k a year from the FAA and 40k per year tax free from the VA. That’s the real reason you college Cucks are jealous

With the last PPT that came out, there's some random cells highlighted yellow. Anybody know what thats for?

As it turns out Multiple people got skipped because the faa went full dynamic decisions. facilities that were able to be releasing more were skipped over without explanation. DSM is one. There’s more. There were people who were passed over without explanation, despite in a spot on the rankings where they should have been picked up, like a person from LAN. There are at least 17 individuals who got fucked, because natca stood by and let the faa do whatever they wanted, in violation of the rules. I’ve seen the list. No I don’t have it. It’s ugly how bad they did people on this one. Natca national is playing damage control here and trying to keep it quiet.

Boston mick the dick is getting called out and so is Marinetti from the southern region, among others for their total lack of action in keeping the agency from following the rules. There’s 17 people who will prolly be getting some kind of special offer. Should be more IMO, the agency owes anyone who got passed up If their facility had another body on the boards. That would easily be 150 plus people

To be fair NATCA was probably in on the fucking #collaboration. So I doubt any of them ever get sweetheart makeup deals like the person who got MCO from a small facility.

Damn.
While it's shitty, it's well within the FAAs rights to pass over or not select people despite being eligible.
Then what’s the point of having a union to collaborate with the FAA if the agency is just going to do whatever it pleases? NATCA and the FAA agreed upon the terms on the panel. I understand the vagueness of ”Dynamic Decisions“, but you would believe that NATCA reserves those decsions as being in favor of the BUEs that are applying for ERRs.

I have no knowledge of what went down. But I assume they collaborated on a number. ZJX needs we're probably priority #1. Which likely bumped a few other people. The FAA would rather just send all new hires there and keep everyone in place. At least this way helps some BUEs and the NAS, despite some feeling like they got the shaft.

Yeah, but the message that was just sent out says that there were facilties that were ABLE to release and those said people were RANKED for selection, but were ulitimately passed over for people further down the list. They were just skipped - no selection was made.

That's still 100% the FAAs call unfortunately.

Edit: Unless I'm mistaken. But the Q&A says selections are ultimately made by the Air Traffic Services management official serving on the NCEPT.

Guess DEN will be getting flooded with more shitty level 4 transfers

Sure would be nice if NATCA National would at least address this in an e-mail. Or maybe it's the long con and all those people that get skipped will get a transfer after they file their grievance so 2x the people transfer.

I believe they did not pick up someone from Grand Canyon because Grand Canyon didn’t have any trainees, but that’s not a criteria to release anyone they just decided not to let them go.

I do know that there was a pick coming up from a facility that had already released 2, they could let 3 go total. this person was next on the list to be selected and suddenly they went off-line and when they came back later they skipped the guy, and refused to place any others from this green facility. this would be the point where Natca would normally interject and argue with them about fucking with the rules but they did not even challenge it. There are lots of facilities that were eligible to release more than what they actually released because the agency refused to take people from green facilities That were eligible to release because of arbitrary conditions they made up on the spot.

Mick and the others Did nothing about it

Skipping a person who is facility can release is the next pick in the ranking list not allowed under the rules. As far as I am aware there was only one skip in all of the previous panels. it was due to an oversight and it was very quickly remedied after. They skipped lots of people this time and seem to be using the losing facilities number of trainees among other inane criteria to justify the skips

I don't think this is accurate per the NCEPT Q&A. The FAA seems to have outs for that situation.

You can think it, but it’s wrong. If your facility has a free body to let go and you’re next in line at the place that is up, you’re ranked next. they have to take you, unless it’s an article 60/124 or other priority thing. Thats how sometimes they take 1,2,3 and 7.

What do you mean by “green” facilities? Honest question, just really trying to understand this process in planning my future. My facility was one that released 2 and I just want to make sure it’s not us you’re talking about because I think we should have been able to release 3 and I very well could have been #3.

Green - facilities that can release either cat 1 or 2. If your facility can release 3, you can release 3, after that, you’re red, and then the music stops for you guys, no more releases. PM me, if you want, I’ll see if you ring a bell
