3rd Quarter 2017

This should go without saying, but if anyone at your facility has ERRs in to places they could be selected for but would turn down, they're a gigantic piece of shit. It isn't as simple as 'oh he/she turned it down, it goes to the next person'. The entire NCEPT panel has already met, facility that fill all their available vacancies can't just take person X who should've been eligible. The only time I've heard of it 'working out' is if the next available person had an ERR into a place that didn't fill all of their vacancies. Not only does this potentially screw over potential co-workers, if you get selected for a facility that filled all their available vacancies, you're taking a spot away from someone who would've actually gone.

Don't blame your fellow controllers for how shitty the system is. They didn't put this in place. Lives change, sometimes HR forgets to remove ERRs from consideration even if you tell them to, people forget that their old ERR has actually only been in for 14 months, etc.

All of these problems are because of NATCA. NCEPT is the most anti-workforce thing they've ever done and they still won't admit their own incompetence. It makes any sort of career progression zero sum so that someone getting a promotion is directly correlated to someone else being denied one.

For the love of god just stop giving these morons your cash

Forgetting your old ERR is still in the system is your own incompetence that carries collateral damage for your coworkers. Get your shit together. But yeah NCEPT sucks.

Just seen the update of the APR ppt on the NATCA website. My question is with the new procedure if the facility has a zero in column Y does that mean that no one can be approved to transfer? Thank for the info.

No. It just means they don't need anyone to reach the national average once you factor in developmentals

For example APA has 100% AOB and 98.5% projected. They show 0 in column Y, but can release 4. Since they can now staff to 100% they show 1 gain in column Z

Looks like about 50% of facilities would be able to release someone based on AOB CPCs based on my counting.

I'm sure it will go down based on the projected numbers, but seems like the drop to one below will help things slightly.

But you're still talking about maybe a few hundred people at the most being able to get a release

It seems to me that they should make it so that you can drop one body/person below the national average and not 1% below. For lower level facilities, 1% does absolutely nothing for them. Ie.) facilities that need 13, 14, or 15 CPCS always flux between being a few percent below the national average and a few percent above the national average.. with one person certifying (or not certifying) making a HUGE difference of whether or not they can release someone.

They do allow you to go one body below the national average now.

The facility priority list doesn't look like it's update for April, my facility should be Cat-2 and it shows us no cat. Hope they update the facilities again before the May 14th deadline.

That deadline is just ERR submission, then the PPT will update later in the month, then you'll have the facility priority list roll of the dice in early June.

TUL
That's based on the current number. Ignore the total releases number, I haven't gotten around to updating the new release criteria.

Yes i understand, what I'm trying to say is I wanna know what facility's are high on the priority list because I need to beat out co workers this panel and make sure im selected. We will be able to release 1 and then who knows when we will be eligible again.

I don't think they are putting out a monthly list anymore until just prior to the panel. If you go on the KSN site, they have the current priority rankings (along with possible gains/losses) on a spreadsheet. I don't know how often thats updated.

And the priority list won't be ran/released until after the ERR submission deadline.
N90, C90, ATL, A80, LAX, I90, D10, ZNY, ZTL, D21 would all be some safe bets though.

Really..? I thought it was a 1% buffer.. where can I find that info. since, I may have been misinformed or I misinterpreted something I read. Thanks a bunch, if this is the case, there's hope!

On the KSN site the new facility placement and vacancy list shows how many a facility can release
