Pay (FAQ)

Can someone better at math help me understand this? My leave and earning statement says that I am making $88,659 a year. It also says that I earn 42.48 an hour. Those two don't match assuming a 40 hour work week???
Annual salary divided by 2087 hours.

How do the January raises affect a CPC-IT’s salary? I understand 50% on the go, 50% on certification but does that apply to the presidential raises?

It just says it’ll raise the bands. But a CPC-IT isn’t really in a band yet while they’re in training, unless I’m mistaken.

Example ERR/MPP
Previous CPC salary - $100,000
New CPC band minimum salary - $120,000
Salary on the go - $100,000 + $10,000 = $110,000
First June Raise - $111,760
Second June Raise - $113,548
Certification - $113,548 + 10,000 = $123,548.

Raises during training are kept in the final CPC pay.

I hope that’s not an accurate depiction of our next January pay raise ?.

That’s not my question.. I know June raises are kept in CPC pay. How do January raises work? The example doesn’t include any January raises. Your “salary on the go” while you’re a CPC-IT is lower than the established pay bands, so my question is does your pay even go up in the first pay period of the year? There are no pay bands to go off.
And how is that calculated? Is that factored into pay on certification?

You get 2.6 basic raise just like everyone else. The bands go up 2.6 as well.

Oh okay. I wasn’t thinking of the January raise as a percentage lol, only as an across-the-board increase of the pay bands. That answers my question!
So theoretically, let’s say you get to your new facility in July. You get a January raise and then certify in February. Would your pay upon certification be less than the minimum CPC pay band?
Old facility: 80,000
New facility: 100,000
On the go salary: 90,000
Salary after January raise (let’s say it’s 2.6%): 92,340
Salary after CPC: 102,340
New CPC min pay band (2.6%) : 102,600

Would you just get moved to the bottom of the band when you certify then?

You’ll never be below the bottom of the band as a cpc

If I am a D2 at a level 8 facility and just got another qualification, but not enough quals to jump up to D3, do I still get a raise within the D2 pay band?

Question about TMU for anyone in it or with experience. If I bid a TMU job within my facility or a neighboring facility that is the same level as my current can I get a pay raise? Can you ask for a pay raise to do TMU or is it just considered a lateral move from CPC?

Lateral unless you are moving up like a CPC would move up, 11 to a 12 etc.

Looking to update my pay calculator spreadsheet for 2020/2021, iron out some logic errors, etc. Useful for keeping payroll honest as we continue to run into shutdown season. I'm realizing it would be helpful to break out the pay in line items just like on the LES.

Question to those of you who get CIP/COLA (please answer for either one): is it listed as a line item under Earnings alongside Regular, Holiday-Worked, etc? Or is it baked into the Rate?

Cip is listed as a line under the regular earnings. Not baked into the rate
