Why do new hires matter when 95% of people are trying to get to level 8+ places when the academy caps at 7? I know some prior exp get higher but if you’re trying to transfer to a 7 or less, that’s on you just as much as the rest of us trying to go higher with competition too.

True for terminal but not at all for enroute.

just heard we might get contacted for negotiation of release dates.

I heard that as well. We just picked up one, and while our staffing is over 100% on the newest PPT, our actually working CPC number is low enough (medical, maternity, guard deployment, trainee not training and about to leave) to warrant 6 day work weeks right now to accommodate last year’s bid leave. We were hoping our selection could get here like tomorrow instead of in a year.
 
Safe to say we prob aren't getting one soon with new mask mandate ay?
