Some simple math 10,000 members probably low end at $50 per paycheck=50,000 some are quite a bit more for top earners multiple that by 26=13,000,000/year times 8 years we been under this contract…..104,000,000 Million dollars! And they can’t afford to negotiate, while we are paying Paul and Trish $250,000 a year for consulting fees….

That’s not the point. The point is if a facility is 80/20 they will literally deny making things better for the 80 just cus the 20 might get to use it.

I also believe the $27m+ doesn't factor in PAC contributions either since that is a separate entity.

When it came out in April I thought about totaling all the expenditures that were restaurants in Las Vegas just for laughs, which was over $360k IIRC, but stopped because I decided against digging into what is CFS vs what might be local expenditures (which I don't think is actually listed on the national report, but could be wrong; although $46k at "Beer Park Las Vegas" gave me an exasperated laugh).

Nothing. So they combat it by not spending discretionary money to make the facility QOL better

Those 20 years are still contingent upon the government giving some form of a pay raise in January (1.6% in June only happens if there is a January pay raise; those 3 years under Obama would have been 0% in January AND 0% in June).

I used to think this too but had it explained to me. The zero June raise is in years when Congress enacts a statutory prohibition on step increases (because as you said the June raise is meant to be analogous to a GS step increase). The January raise being 0% doesn't affect the June raise, at least not directly.

And good luck if you're stuck in a level 4-6 for the first 6+ years of your career; that 20 year timer doesn't start until you get to your "final" facility.

Yeah, I forgot I get to choose the exact facility I go to initially. I also get to choose how long the NCEPT process takes to ERR. Weird take after your crazy "I was pro union until ___" rant that didnt even make sense. You were never pro union and you were never pro helping controllers. You're out for yourself and thats it.

You could do something that aligns more with GS where you have 10 steps and it’s broken down by each facility as far as what the exact pay is but do it on a timed scale not “facility time” if that makes sense. For example let’s say your step increases each year for your first 10 years and at year 10 you’re maxed out. You can transfer twice but you’d still maintain your step within your facility’s respective pay band once certified. Could be on a 10 or 15 year amortization for lack of better words. Allows you your last 5 or so years to max out your high 3.

As opposed to transferring late in your career because you got screwed over by staffing. Although, this could be abused with people staying at their cushy level 7 tower then transferring to a 12 late in their career to collect their max high 3 then bounce. Just brainstorming, having to be reset anytime you transfer is kinda shit.

Knowing one thing going in reference transfers is one things. Learning how corrupt things are over time and having a change of view is what a lot of people are realizing. Drink more of the NATCA koolaid buddy and oh about those step increases lol and moving up the GS scale to a new position probably starting at step one.
